Do Remington Spartans have any kind of pad you can attach to the back?

Firing my dad's Remington SPR210 sure gives you a blue shoulder on just two or four shots. Is there any kind of rubber pad youc an attach to the back of the butt?

call midway or any gunshop there are a number of recoil pads that you can install yourself. I prefer the limbsaver but if you want something that will adjust the morgan pad is the way to go.

I'll second the Limbsaver Pad. Go to their website and look at the dimensions for the pad, you may find one that is suitable or get the grind to fit. They also make a slip on pad that may work for you as Spartans have a pretty short length of pull.

Well, contact your gunsmith. Find one who does buttpads - they all should. I wouldn't do a grind-to-fit, or even a regular fitted one unless you are pretty hand with tools & measurements and such. A slight 1/10th" error can make it look like ass. But yes, with a little money, anything can be accomplished. Likely the gunsmith will want to know what total LOP is best for the shooter in question, and saw part of the existing stock off, before installing a 1" plus recoil pad; else the overal LOP would be too long.

recoil pads

I recently put a pachmeyer pad on my spartan double barell, not so much for recoil ...but because of my long arms ,the extra 1 1/2 made it fit and swing better ...for $9.00 @ wally world who could go wrong ??:)

Yeah, that goes without saying, I thought (but maybe not) - yes, you can buy slip-on rubber recoil pads cheaply at just about any sporting goods retailer (Academy, Walmart, BassPro, anywhere). Not pretty but it works. They come in small, medium, and large, and also in a selection of either black or brown.

The gun does not fit and/or incorrect basic mounting of gun to face.

After the fun fit is taken care of by a qualified person to both assist with fit , and adjusting stock, Get THE only recoil pad : Pachmahr Decelerater.

*grin*
Is this the same Sims, like in Ernie Sims?
Just wondering, goes back to the days of After market vent ribs, red recoil pads like Winchester , Ithaca, Remington used at the factory.
Back in the day of White Line recoil pads...also that came on guns from the factory
and source for a adjustable choke system.
Just wondering...I just recall a earlier time is all...

Just wondering ...oh the Pach Decel works GREAT for folks that get a rifle fitted and stick one on a rifle too.
Folks do get rifles fitted to them, and use a quality pad around here - right?

Gosh, I have turned into my Mentors...Yeah!! :)
