I was at my local gun club today and began looking through a book of firearm values. (Can't remember the name). I have an older Flat-top Blackhawk in .357. When I looked it up it gave values in the range that I would expect for this piece. There was a footnote that said to add 50% if the gun had 6 groove riflling, 6 1/2" barrel and a serial # under 28,000. My gun meets all these qualifications. Serial number under 5000. Why is this gun worth so much more? Anyone have any detailed knowledge of this situation. I would be very appreciative. It's got me asking "should I continue to shoot this gun or put it away?" By the way, I would have to say it is as close to 100% as a gun of this age could be.
Thanks.
