Went to the show today in Va and bought a leapers 6x32 scope for my mini 30, came home and fitted it. DID NOT FIT! dissappointing. I saw this Nikon Im going back to get tomorrow. Question is, anyone with a mini 14 or 30 what scopes do you recommend? What brand, ?x?-?, and any other imputs.
 
I was there also. The first time I have been to it in about 6 years. Same old stuff, same vendors in the same places. I didn't buy anything but a renewal on my NRA membership. I couldn't believe all of the people that were there as soon as it opened.
 
The middle of the scope where the 1"rings go around the scope, the scope body was to short. I saw many different brands but I didnt know who has good scopes other then nikon and bushmaster, I picked Leapers because I used them before.

.....for a Mini 30? Wow. Not familiar with the Leapers though. I had a 2x7x(33 I think) Sightron SII on it once for some handload accuracy testing that worked really well.

BTW I think Ruger offers an extended ring that may help you.
