Disparity in calculator results.

I've been playing around with B.C. values in Strelok to try and emulate my .223's range performance of 20" low at 300m on a 100m zero. I have come close using a B.C. of .270.

Meanwhile I tried the same thing with Berger's online calculator but needed a B.C. of .220 to mimic my range shooting. The only difference between the two calculators is that Bergers ask for altitude.

Could this account for the difference?

A ballistics program is only as accurate as the information you give it. Strelok asks for altitude under the "weather" button on my screen. I also agree that it isn't as accurate as JBM, but it is easier to use in the field on my android phone than JBM.

Altitude makes a big difference. What the OP is describing is very possible.

I've never seen more than about 1/2 click difference between JBM and Strelock when properly configured including altitude. IMO both are very usable.
