Yup, the recent moves were designed just to create work for *you*. Bookmarked the whole page, huh?
I'm surprised you continue to put up with such shoddy service from us. We just purchased a server and doubled our bandwidth cost. Shall we roll a grenade thru the door of the Staff Lounge, shoot all survivors, shut down the site and refund your admission charge? Perhaps just inundate you with advertising?
I'm open to suggestions here.

I suggest the staff could roll a grenade through Rik's door...
Naw - too "Tactical" - I suggest a barrage of grenades through all handy windows...
Then sweep for survivors after a coffee break.

I'm glad we are going to have our own server, and I'm thankful for all of the hard work our admin and moderators put in to give us this board. It must be an enormous task to switch like this. Just wanted to say thanks,and most of us appreciate all that you do.

Honestly, it's not that we're primed for anything. It's just that we all work *really* hard to provide a service that we can be proud of....and we are. Changing servers is not something we do for our convenience, but to improve a non-commercial product.
When we pull an all nighter on a Saturday in order to switch servers, I assure you it's not us whom we're trying to accomodate. To get three hours sleep, come back and have to put up with someone whining over having to rebook mark a page is asking a bit much, don't you think?
I really don't mind you taking shots at us at every opportunity on the other Boards. But I'll be damned if it'll go unnoticed on this Board when that criticism is gratuitous, unwarranted, impolite and petty.
We're owed no "thanks" for TFL. It's something each Staff Member, including myself, volunteers for. So, it's not that we require your gratitude. The flip side is that, as volunteers on a free site, we're not about to be sniped by those with a personal agenda.

Rich, Gosh, it's amazing you've read so much into one sentence. From "I will be so glad when I don't have to keep rebookmarking TFL" you have somehow extracted that I am ungrateful and bitching about your efforts. Hmmm...COULD it be that I was simply uttering a sigh of relief that the multiple server problems will soon be over? Could it be that you, as I said, assumed the worst possible interpretation of what I said?

As for me "slamming you all over other boards" well, Rich old buddy, you need to get real. The only thing I have said about you on ONE other board in ONE response to OTHERS slamming you is that it is your board and you can do with it as you wish and that you don't welcome nor tolerate others making suggestions as to how it should be run.

I think it is...in fact, I think it is about word for word what you said to me in your peculiar email where you stated that you didn't like me and you knew I didn't like you...despite the fact that, at that time, I had never posted anything to you personally and really wasn't sure who you were.

I only posted in this thread at ALL in order to re-establish my nickname and password in memory and God KNOWS I will never make the mistake of even posting in the same thread as you ever again.
