Dillon X-Small Powder Bar Modification

Hi, Guys!
Most of my reloading is with very small charges of Clays for
.45acp loads.
I load 3.0gr for the wife to shoot in revolver, and 3.6gr for me and my 1911s.
I'm thinking about buying an x-small powder bar to better measure these loads.
If I understand right, the small bar is for 3.0gr up to about 10gr, and the x-small bar is for loads 3.0gr and smaller.
Instead of measuring at the extreme minimum of the small bar, might it be better to modify the x-small bar to meter up to about 4.0gr? I don't think it would take much to make the
x-small bar hold one more grain of Clays.
At the worst, I will be out the cost of one powder bar.
Please give some input even if it's critical. I am open to any ideas about why this will or will not work.
Thanks, Guys!

I have never modified a powder bar....I would just buy the XS or whatever you want.

But sure, it wouldn't take much to modify one.

( I use a lot of Clays in 12ga shotshells...for Trap, Skeet, Sporting, etc ) ...and I have tried it in 9mm, etc....and its a "Very" soft shooting powder....but even though I use a "Powder Check Die" on my Dillon 650, its Min and Max made me more nervous than using TiteGroup...so I quit using Clays. Its a pretty large flake ...to get it to meter precisely for small charges...in my view ).

I have used the regular small bar they send with the machines to throw down to 2.8 gn of Clays, pretty sure that’s not as low as it would go either.

Used to be my SSR load before they changed the rules. A 230 gn bullet at 550 fps for 126.5 power factor. You could see the bullets in flight.
