Dillon dun good again!

I did my semi-annual strip clean & relube to my 1980's RL550b & found a couple of wear & tear issues. Nothing major or debilitating, but in need of being taken care of.

One of my failsafe rods had the screw threads partly stripped from multiple uses over decades. The sheet metal "Tinnerman nut insert" that adjusts & locks all in one can be a bit harsh on the threads. The rod is the old, original "L" ended ones that attached with a spring clip, not the newer "N" shaped ones, its that old!

My large primer feed had started shuddering & it traced back to the old, original solid base design & a warn through non-slip coating on the bearing plate.

I called Dillon & there s a whole new failsafe rod, a new slider bearing plate & two (one large, one small) complete primer feed sliders, of the new hollow teflon-coated slider assys coming to me under warranty.

As if that's not enough they even are throwing in a couple of large & small primer feed clips for the ends of both the filler tubes & the actual magazine tubes. I didn't even ask for them he just said I'd probably need them soon as I'm still on the originals so he was dropping them in the box.

That, is service!, the no BS warranty really is exactly that even after 30 years!:)

Dillion is great about replacing parts . It makes little difference if I broke it or it just wore out . Kind of get what you pay for >

I've even lost parts...they rolled off my bench ...into lords knows where ( under my table saw probably )...and when I tried to buy a replacement, they insisted on replacing it and shipping it free...

They've been very good to deal with for the last 25 yrs...in my view !

Indeed.

I thought I had a bad .38 sizing die. They sent me a new one. Turns out it was my error, so I called them and offered to return it. They said to just keep it. I've had other things too...springs breaking, circlips flying off...they just replace them, no arguments. Good folks there.
