How difficult is it to change caliber's on this press ? I see them brand new for $525.00
I load both rifle and pistol calibers.

Not difficult at all. Change the dies, shell plate and locator buttons. If you want it even easier, then buy a toolhead that the dies go into for every caliber you plan to reload with it. Then it is pull 2 pins switch tool heads reinsert pins. Then change shell plate and locator buttons. Changing primer sizes is only a couple of minutes more and also not difficult.

As long as you can use the same size (small or large) primers its a doddle.
Unhook powder rod.
Pull 2 pins to free head.
Remove brass buttons from shellplate.
Slide entire top end out to left.
Raise ram.
Back off lock screw.
Unscrew center bolt for shellplate.
Remove shellplate & spider.

Stripped for changeover.

Replace shellholder.
Replace spider.
Insert bolt, lower into place & start tightening.
When tight tighten lock screw
Drop in new buttons.
Slide in replacement head, complete with dies & powder meter.
Insert head locator pins.
Attach powder rod & clip in place.

Done. It actually fakes almost as long to describe as it does to do. Unless you need to swap from large to small primers.

I have three tool heads with powder Measures .
It takes about as long to find the tool head I need as it takes to change it .

I load the same primer so I do not need to mess with that .

I have a shelf above & behind the press. I just bought the toolhead stands & there they are right behind the press with neat little Dymo labels telling me what they are on them.

I usually slip a small note into the powder measure hopper with the details of the last load settings as well.

As I get older time is much more valuable so I have toolheads for all my die sets. Just makes things much quicker and they're not a lot of money for the time they save.
