Differences between batched of 147gr Remington Golden Bullet 9mm?

Just looking at two boxes here...in one, bullets have straight notched in the jacket around the hollow point. In the other box, the notches are applied at a 30 degree angle, looking a bit like a turboprop from the front. Any idea as to why these look different?

The older version of the GS was the straight-walled hollowpoint. Remington reworked the design to allow for greater expansion across a wider range of velocity and the "spiral-cut" hollowpoint was released. The old version did not expand reliably when fired from sub-compacts but the new version apparently resolved the problem.
