New ones have different base plate than old, old have jammed when dropped on concrete straight down, follower has gone over top of mag in the notched corner of the lip area, I thought this new baseplate or pad might have been to aleve this problem?
Have relitive going into law enforcement and is concerned about this, as the sheriff's out here San Bernardino county make you drop it straight down on concrete ie "we have found dead chp officers with their empty mags in their hands" might just buy sig p220?
