Did UPS cut a deal?

Was talking to some UPS employees last night. This is the rumor within the company. Remember a couple of months ago when UPS was fined in excess of 900 million for evading taxes in an off shore insurance scheme? Since their new handgun policy they now may not be paying the fine or the total amount. This is just a rumor but.....
 
I have no problem believing that this COULD happen. I even see it as likely. That said, I'll wait for more evidence, such as the actual non-payment of the fine. Of course, how I'll know about that if the media doesn't deign to report it to me is beyond me. Can we request that kind of information under FOIA?
