Did somebody make a mistake......

I have been waiting for a Walther P22 w/5" barrel for some time now. It seems as if nobody in the Atlanta area could keep them in stock and some dealers had been waiting months for them to come in.
Well, today I got on the phone and lucked out and found someone who had one. He said the price was $249.00. I said "hold it" I will be there in 30 minutes to get it, so I did.
My question is, I thought that was the price for the 3.5 inch barrel, did they make a mistake or am I wrong? I thought the price for the 5" barrel was around the $300.00 mark. Thanks for your responses and please be careful.

I don't know the prices of the Walther, but I do know that in the Atlanta area a Browning Buckmark camper goes for around $229. Fancier models cost more. Using that as a base, the $249 you paid is in the right ball park.
You can check out Guns America, Gun Broker, or Auction Arms to see what others are selling theirs for. With the auction sites remember that they will not neccessarily sell until the price reaches a certain level. Some of them are fishing.

Not sure of the price, but it sound reasonable for what I've been quoted. No one around here in my neck of the woods can get one (the 5"er, I've handled a couple 3"ers) either - so that's probably just a national availability problem. :( T'will probably last until the newness wears some.

If/when you get it, give us a range report and let us know if they're any good!
