Did S&W ever make a revo with interchangable barrels?

An aquaintance was talking about how he sold his Smith & Wesson .357 with three interchangable barrels of varying lengths to someone for $450.
I asked him if he was sure it wasen't a Dan Wesson, and he swore up 'n down it was not.
So now I'm curious. Does such an animal exist?

If it is a S&W perhaps it was a custom made by Jack Weigand as he offers this package. There was a writeup on it in a gun magazine a while back (the mag and date escape me).

The only "factory" I can recall that made such a package was Dan Wesson in the DW "Pistol Pack". Had 3 or 4 barrels.

Custom/performance after market is a different story.

In addition to Jack Weigand's current set, IIRC Brownell's used to sell a D/W style set up that could be retro fitted to a S&W revolver. Sort of a best of both worlds...
