did Ruger ever make a 45lc redhawk?

Not SRK, but, regular redhawk.

I see references to them, but, have never actually seen one for sale ANYWHERE!

Anyone here shed some light on this issue?

Yes they did. They're in my 2000 and 2003 catalogs. Looks like they were stainless only in 5.5 and 7.5''. Intrestingly they were also offered in 357 and 41mag from 1984-1991. Hope this helps.

According to their website, they make one now...in a 7 1/2" bbl configuration (Stainless). You'll probably have to special order it though.

Yes, owned two. Very hard to find, they didn't sell well at all. Was close to being put on the Endangered Shooting Iron list, but I think Ruger has managed to preserve one in their lineup...though you can't rely on Ruger's website being current or correct.

If you have a hankering for a new one, should probably act fast.

Probably the strongest factory 45LC DA revolver (aside from the Super RH).

I feel fortunate I got a 5 1/2" .45 Redhawk when they were available a couple of years ago. Mine is very accurate and all Redhawks are bull strong. I thought they would sell better than they evidently did.

The 5-1/2", .45 Colt Redhawk wasn't in their '05 catalog but it looks like they were making them. I bought this one just after Christmas and took delivery last night. The serial number (503-46xxx) makes it a '05 model and the envelope for the fired case sent with it dates September, 2005. They're out there, even NIB, but you have to look real hard.

One of my local dealers had one (5.5") before Christmas, but I haven't been by so I don't know if its still there. I suspect it is, though. Its been there a LOOOOONG time.
