Did Ruger ever chamber the Speed/Security Six in .22 LR?,,,

I have a co-worker who says his father has a Speed Six chambered in .22 LR.

My guess is that the gun is probably an SP-101 or a Single Six.

Does anyone know for certain if any of the Speed/Security Six were chambered in .22 LR?

No, ruger never chambered any of their Six Series revolvers(Security, Service, Speed-Sixes) in the .22 LR caliber. These revolvers were destined for the police and security market and were chambered only in(.38 Spl, .357, and 9 MM)calibers..

Thanks gentlemen,,,

I was positive if they ever had,,,
I would have seen one over the years.

This guy is a know-it-all so I doubt if he'll ever admit his error,,,
I wish I knew his dad so I could ask him for myself,,,
It's a joyous day when I can put this guy down.

Thanks for the corroboration of my thought.

There was a gunsmith (and I can't recall who) that converted Security Sixes to .22 LR back in the 80's. Spokandguns, maybe?
