well went to my local toy store to pick up some ammo and ended up putting a Ruger Gunsight Scout rifle in layaway. My son really liked it and he has been wanting me to get a bolt gun for him to hunt with...i might let him use it:) I love the size of it and it will make a good gun for a blind and woods gun. Ill have to post some pics and give a review when i get it out..
 
I had to quit goin to the place I buy guns from to get ammo cause the misses have threatend to leave many time cause of my addiction. She says why do you need all these guns are you goin to battle, and I tell her, never know just might. Congrats on the purchasing?? Wanna see pics when you get it.
 
I was in a gunshop a couple of weeks ago and they had a Ruger Gunsite rifle. I had to put my hands on it...couldn't help myself. I liked it a lot, but had just bought a rifle recently and was still in the doghouse for that, so I reluctantly put it back in the rifle rack. It was pretty nifty, but now that I'm clear minded again, I do have that Ruger Compact in 260, and that's all the scout rifle I'll ever really need.
 
After the article came out on American rifleman magazine I am very interested in one myself. I recently purchased a Ruger 77/44 and was so impressed with the workmanship and quality of parts that my opinion of Ruger is steadily going upward. (Not that it’s ever been low)
The one question I have is, how is the quality of the magazine?
Good choice and hope it’s as good a tool as my 77 is.
