Did I pass up a deal?

At the last gun show, a dealer was trying to get me to buy a S&W model 27 he had. It was a 6 inch barrel gun that was nickeled. Was that factory? Also, it had a cheap Tasco scope on it. The scope was worthless, but the mount was good. He was asking $495 for it. Did I pass up a good deal? I'd love to have a model 27, but I thought that was high.

Not much of a deal in my book.

Depends a lot on date of manufacture.

For near $500 I would be looking for a M27 that was minty in a wood box and no scope.

I'd say keep looking.
