Did I hear this right early this morning about D. Cheney and guns?

OK, yesterday on "This Week", Dick was the man and said that "no infringement" is pretty clear and told Sam the Combover Donaldson that No, he would not change his vote today on how he voted years ago on - brace yourself - "cop-killer bullets" and "plastic guns". Cheney said that he believes in the second amendment, and that anything that arguably infringes it must be carefully considered and fully debated, and the Dems had pulled procedural stunts to abrogate debate, so he had to vote against the proposed bans on these. Sounded VERY good. Then I THINK I heard a blurb early this morning that he has done a 180 and now says he WOULD HAVE voted to ban cop-killer bullets (nevermind that there never was nor is such a thing - idiotic media) and the plastic guns (ditto). Is this what happened, or did I hear wrong? Thanks.
