Did AR prices go up recently

Did AR prices recently go up in price? I bought a Bushmaster lower last year and my friend went to buy one last week. The difference is about $100 quoted. Is this overpriced from the store or have prices gone up recently or is this particular store sticking it to my friend.

Good question. I would like to know why SP 1 carbines went up in price in the last two years. I paid $850 for mine, the last I looked they were $1900.

The reason SP1's are up is they are pre ban,pre ban, pre bans.......and they are Colt originals....they are in the 1500.00 range in the DFW area......if you can find a cherry.
BM's, And OLY's, and DPMS's....are all in the 650/750 range at major shows.
Any STORE is gonna gougue you to death./////
 
I often see pre-bans in Virginia gunstores for fair prices.
More often then not the gunshow dealers are trying to get much more.
 
I buy all my Bushmaster stuff DIRECT from Bushmaster. Service and follow up is great, and everything except lowers do NOT need an FFL.
