Dianne Feinstein gun control background - SF

Feinstein got into political office (mayor of SF) but she was not elected to office, she was the backup to the gay mayor who was killed by some crazy individual. Over the years a couple of hi-profile attempted robberys and revenge shootings in SF fixed her anti-gun politics.
But wait, did it? As mayor she had some gun programs going on. One of those were that all SF citizens should turn in their firearms. They were incouraged to turn in their personal firearms such as pistols, revolvers, etc. The problem was that nobody did. But, like any good newsreporter found, Feinstein didn't turn in her own personal weapon. Nor did any of Feinstein's bodyguards. To this day, they don't advertise the fact that the weapons that Feinstein and her bodyguards carry, are just not available to the average Californian. For carry or otherwise.
Make no mistake - this is where the constitution laws of this USA were directed so many years ago. If we ignore them, we give up our freedom and our right to get these people out of office. As the old saying goes "those with the guns, rule". And sadly, I don't know, but I suspect Charles Schumer, the Kennedy's and most others in politics in this country carry their own firearms, and their bodyguards also while making laws to forbid you, the citizen, to do likewise.

Yup. Its pretty well known that DiFi is a hypocite on firearms issues. I believe its a matter of public record that she has a carry permit?

Ted the swimmer

I thought Ted Kennedy was a felon ? Didn't he plead guilty at Chapaquitic(SP)
Just Curious...!

... she was the backup to the gay mayor who was killed by some crazy individual.
A minor quible with this statement. Then Mayor (not gay) George Moscone and (gay) Supervisor Harvey Milk among others were killed by Gian Ferri.

Gian then tried to beat the wrap using a By-Reason-of-Twinkies defense. :o

That wasn't Gian Ferri. Ferri killed himself at the end of his rampage at the law firm in July 1993.

In November of 1978, Dan White, a SF supervisor, shot Mayor Muscone and Supervisor Milk. White had resigned over some shenanigans of Muscone and Milk, then wanted to be reinstated. His request for reinstatement was denied and he decided to have the last word.

Bruce,

Kennedy pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene of an accident involving bodily injury. His two-month jail sentence was suspended.

He had no drivers license on his person, and in any event, his license was expired at the time of the murder. Miraculously, his records were "corrected" and a valid license was presented to him prior to his "trial."

He was never made to account for his activities that night, how much alcohol he'd consumed at the Chappaquidick party, or what the hell he did for the nine or ten hours that passed from hitting the water to contacting the police. Meanwhile, a police diver was frantically searching the waters for the missing driver.

A class act, yessir. Now the leading Democrat in the United States Senate. Is this a great country or what?

I stand corrected re: Moscone and (gay) Supervisor Harvey Milk. Thanks KKB.
Had they not been killed it probably wouldn't have made a difference anyway. It seems to me that the voters in California are always ready to vote away their rights. But Dianne made sure that Calif gun owners didn't have a chance. What could be worse you ask? Mrs Clinton as president and Mrs Feinstein as VP - cough choke vomit.

As I recall, DIFI, while she was mayor, caused significant public monies to be pissed away, defending a law suit brought to overturn legislation she had pushed as mayor, local gun control, which state pre-emption said was a no-no.

Funny thing is that the then city law dept. attorneys told here she was pushing a bad proposal, and that she would loose in court, which she did, but it cost the taxpayers of San Francisco some money. Since when did the likes of Feinstein care a wit about the public's money, or the rights of the people?
