Details of California SB23

This is my first foray into online forums. The threat to 2nd Ammendment rights by CA SB23 finally drove me to end my silence. I saw it coming a few months ago and purchased an AR15 from Bushmaster (I heard it was actually going to arrive, 3 mos. after I ordered it!). When the law passed, I decided that I would not register it, as my mother's family was entirely wiped out by the Nazis in WWII, and I don't want my children to go through what my mother went through.

My question is: I heard that SB23 was written so that owners of AR15's did not need to register if they do not also possess magazines greater than 10 rounds. Is this correct?

Thanks. I read about 1% of SB23, and agree with you. My friend, who seems very knowledgeable, believes that the ammendment that removes certain AR15's from the assault weapons list came in very recently and may not have been published yet. This may be wishful thinking.
