desert eagle value

I came across 2 desert eagles in mint condition.

One is .44 mag and the other is 50 cal.

Both guns are in great shape.

This is a private sale and the owner has no idea of the values.

What would you consider a fair price for each or both guns.

I went online auctions and know that they are selling over a $1000 each but dont know what the blue book value is.

Anyone have prices for used but in very good condition with all accesories.

Usually $1,000 to $1,400. Any thing under $1,000 is usually a scam or really beat up. Anything over $1,400 and you might as well buy new.

Unless the owner inherited them I'm betting he knows exactly what their worth. Just his way of seeing what you'll offer.

I didn't inherit my Desert Eagles, I bought them, and so I know exactly what I paid for them. ($425 for a .357 bought in 1984 and $650 for a .44Mag bought in 1990).

But I have NO idea what they are worth today, as I am neither in the buyer or seller's market.

The best way of finding out what they are currently selling for, that I know of, is the auction sites (Gunbroker, etc.)

Don't look at asking prices, look at the guns that have SOLD, and what they sold for. That's roughly what the market will bear, today.

The Blue Book value is irrelevant. The Blue Book gives average prices from all over the U.S. with no regard for local supply and demand.
"Mint" means BNIB. Unfired and exactly as it came out of the factory.
MSRP on a .44 is $1,572.00. $1,922.00 for a .50.

He probably knows what they are worth considering the fact that he bought them somewhere along the way.....I'd offer him $1000 each and see what he says.

About three years a ago a friend called said a local ask if he would be interested in two handguns he needed to sell . My friend looked them over and called me both DE and a 357 and 44 Mag . The seller was asking for money back on a bad lone and ask $600 for both .

My buddy bought them and the 357 was ok but the 44 Mag was as new with two barrels one a 14 inch target/hunting barrel .

He gave them to his son .

A fair price for an XIX 44 magnum, black, would be roughly $1,200 +/- $50. That's in used/excellent condition, no box, with one factory magazine and preferably with the cleaning tool as well (which is only about a $12 part).

@hook686, It'd call it an a- to b+ . It definitely shows some wear, but its definitely not rough!

I might try to trade up to a XIX Stainless if I can swing it. Working on picking up a RPR 6.5 Creedmoor
