desert eagle diffrences

The Desert Eagle MKV11 is the earlier model which was manufactured in Israel. The MKX1X
is mfgd by Magnum Research in the US and is a platform gun. The frame, or platform can be converted to all the calibers they offer with a barrel and magazine change.

The XIX is a domestically made copy of the VII .50AE. IMI changed some of the dimensions from the .357/.44mag VIIs to fit the .50AE. When manufacture was handed over the .50AE VII was used as the base for the XIX DEP platforms.

So...if you have a .50AE, whether version VII or XIX, you have the same gun (expect, of course, the VII is Isreali and the XIX is US). XIX parts will not fit on .357/.44mag VIIs.

I purchased a XIX .50 a few months ago and it says made in Isreal. I called Magnum Research and they said that the new Desert Eagles are now made in Isreal again.
