I saw a cartoon recently on this theme:

Policeman: "And how would you describe your attacker?"

Victim: "It had a four-inch barrel and a scratch behind the front sight.
And, oh yes, it was blue steel."

Police: "Good description, we'll start our search for the suspect.
By the way, did you notice any human accomplices?"
