This relates to my last post on a possible purse carry for my wife. Can anyone give me input on the Derringer-style pistols available today (single action). Again, I appreciate your feedback!
American Derringer and Bond seem to be the "names" in these right now. AD even has a DAO model. Multiple calibers available. Be advised, most of these are difficult to shoot well (no grip to speak of) and some are quite unpleasant (heavier recoiling rounds).
Davis Derringer in Chino, CA makes some real inexpensive derringers. I have seen them in 22LR, 22WMR, and 38spl...I know they make more though. I do not think they have a website.
Not true derringers...BUT they are very small and chambered in easier to handle calibers like .22 magnum and .22 LR. Plus, you got 5 shots instead of 2. NAA quality is excellent IMO.
