I was thinking the other day, with this system New York has in place it is the responsibilty of the County in which you reside to administer the pistol permits. Me being from one of the more strict counties in which no one can obtain a 'unrestricted' permit which allows you to carry 24/7-365 except where federal or state law prohibits.
I myself on the other hand am stricken with the restriction to hunting & target which only allows me to carry my sidearm concealed of course while hunting or target shooting and going to and from such venues.
My question would be has anyone ever been concerned with moving from a place where your guns are allowed to a place where they want to take them away?
In my case it could be the fact of moving from out of my current county to a new one. It makes me not want to buy guns if I ever had the possibility that I had to get rid of them. I guess I'll just have to buy more rifles, shotguns and carbines?
Was wondering if anyone else's state was setup like the good ol' Empire State. I guess it could be worse though, I could live in California... or New York City
