I have a favor to ask. Would it be possible not to label all Democrats as "bad". If we disagree with certain issues on the Democrats' platform, that's fine. If we dislike certain politicians who are Democrats, that's our choice. But could we not label all democrats as "bad", "dogs", or "scum sucking pigs that are sons of a motherless goat". When gun owners label Democrats, it is just as bad as when certain members of the media label gun owners as "uneducated rednecks". If we need to fight, let's fight the issues or the individuals, but lets not label everyone. Remember, not all Republicans are pro-RKBA (can you say NEW YORK?).

FWIW, I nearly always vote for the Republican candidate, because I usually best agree with their view of the issues.

I could go on for HOURS about the Republicans. That's why I like the term Liberal and Conservatives.

I think that anybody who has amassed the money and power to obtain high public office is deeply in debit to at least one special interest. Regardless of declared party affiliation.

We have had all too many Republicans vote along the Democratic Party platform line.

Maby have term limits. One term of public "service" and no longer eligible for any elected or appointed government job.

If 95% of any organization are "scum sucking pigs that are sons of motherless goats" I realize it's rough on the other 5% but the 5% have a choice not to be a part of that group.

If only 5% of the same organization were "scum sucking pigs that are sons of motherless goats" I agree it would be totally out of line to label the whole organization "scum sucking pigs that are sons of motherless goats".

You convinced me.

But the initial conjecture is a noble one.
RKBA as just a republican issue is a losing

Like I said check, out the percentages.

I'm right 100% of the time and I've never found anyone to beat my rightness % so I just have to tolerate those who agree with me 99% of the time or 98% or 97% or 96%, etc.. But when they get below about 90% then "off with their heads".

Everyone has their own tolerance level. Mine just happens fairly low and it's dropping day by day. Day after tomorrow it will be time to take a serious look at my tolerance level for possible adjustment.

Agreed, it gets old. Democrats/Republicans, Liberals/Conservatives, all labels for outdated ideologies followed by knee jerkers who can't think for themselves. Neither do what they claim to be about.

Any way you slice it the Democrats as a group are anti-gun and godless on the moral issues. If some aren't, then they should get out of the party. As far as I am concerned "Birds of a feather flock together." Jerry
 
If as you say you "almost always vote for the Republican candidate" then why don't you become a Republican?
 
There are number of us blue dogs. The problem is the damn socialist have control.
The Socialist are starting their move in the Republican party.

The Republicans are now left of where the Democrats were before the Democrats became the American Socialist Party.

The Democrats and the Republicans both increase the scope and power of the federal government - the Republicans are merely a bit less radical.

But to abandon the Bill of Rights because of Social Security, Medicare, or other issues is to choose greed and security over freedom.

I will continue to fight the desecration of our Bill of Rights as my primary issue.

The Democrats gut the Bill of Rights somewhat slower than the Republicans, therefore I will fight the Democrats tooth and nail while I try to slow the Republican destruction of our liberties. I also will encourage ANY other party which is American (rather than Socialist) in nature.

Sorry, Country Boy, but if you ride with the gang, you'll be hanged with the gang. Drop them big government elitists and join the effort to restore our Bill of Rights.

... Gotta stop. Haven't had breakfast yet and I get mean when I'm hungry.

Country Boy, I agree we should not be calling them nasty names, but I think we should hold them accountable. The democrats on a federal level really disgusted me by their support of Bill Clinton when he should have been booted. Since then I have become more anti-democrat. I am embarrassed for us as a nation.

Undoubtedly there are decent people who are also Democrats. However, as long as their party is led by the likes of Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, Janet Reno, Tom Daschel (sp?), Ted Kennedy, Dick Gebhart, and David Bonnier I can have no respect or tolerance for them and would never vote for a Democrat. The decent folks in the party who disagree with the above named leaders have the option of selecting new leaders or changing parties.

When the Democrats stop calling Republicans mean spirited, racists, homophobes, sexists, fascists, and so many other less than complimentary names, I'll stop. The Democrats say the Republicans want to pollute the water and air, killing all life on the planet. We want to make senior citizens eat dog food and deny them needed medicine and health care so they will all die. The Republicans are responsible for all the gun deaths in the nation because the party is in the pocked of the NRA. I could go on but I believe my point has been made.
 
Democrats and Republicans are outdated terms. The underlying ideology is that of fascism (socialism is a variant of fascism)for both parties. The only decision to be made is how virulent a form one wants. Both parties are willing to shred the constitution and BofR. The only issue is how fast is it to be done.

I thought I'd to libertarian after the election, but I'm having second thoughts as I investigate their core belief.

I find the b*ll-less republicans to be particularly disgusting. David Shippers' book "Sellout" made me puke.
