THE DEMOCRATIC PLATFORM
Really --- you ought to give it a read. You’ll just love what you see there. Remember, if you hadn’t read the Green Party
platform you wouldn’t know that Nader’s presidency is endorsing things such as andatory break-up of the nation’s 500 largest corporations and a transfer to public ownership. That’s socialism, folks. In case you care.
Start looking at the Democratic platform .. their are some real gems there. For instance, under the heading "The right kind of tax cuts" we find this wording:
"They (the Republcians) would squander the surplus on a more than trillion-dollar federal government tax giveaway for the well-off and well-connected."
So, there is the official Democratic Party position. If a tax cut allows a person to keep more of the money that they have earned, it’s a "government tax giveaway." Wouldn’t it be fun to hear a Democrat explain just how allowing a person to keep money that they have worked for and earned constitutes a government "giveaway?" This approach presumes that ALL of the money that we earn is, in fact, the property of the Imperial Federal Government. Any portion of the money that we earn that we are allowed to keep is money that the government has "given" to us.
Next segment. This one deals with government schools:
"We must also remember that our schools are not just training the next generation of workers, they are also educating the next generation of citizens. That's why Democrats support democracy education, civic education, and _service requirements_ in our schools."
OK ... just what is "democracy education"? Does that mean teaching children that the majority rules? Does it mean that we continue teaching the lie to the American children that the USA is a democracy instead of a constitutional republic? Does this mean that we don’t teach our school children that the founding fathers who wrote our Constitution made a specific and concerted effort to avoid establishing a majority, and that they warned the citizens of the newly formed Republic of the dangers of democracy and mob rule? No surprise here. One way for politicians to really solidify and enhance their personal power is to convince the public that the majority, rather than the law, should rule. It’s much easier to bend the minds of men with lies and promises of government-provided largess than it is to change the basic laws under which we operate.
And what’s this bit about "service requirements" in our schools? You know what that is, don’t you? It’s "mandatory
volunteerism." It’s teaching our children that their lives really aren’t their own ..... that they owe a portion of their lives to others and that it is a proper role of government to enforce the right of the many to a portion of the lives of each and every individual. All part of the war on the individual, my friends.
Now .... let’s look at this excerpt:
"Finally, we must reinforce the basic American bargain of requiring and rewarding hard work and we must provide Americans with the opportunity to participate in key decisions at work and in their communities."
Where in our Constitution does it say that it is a proper role of the government to "require" hard work from the citizens?
Just wondering.
Here’s a line in the platform you’ll love. It’s the very last line .....
"Now, we say to America, You ain't seen nothing yet."
Now that’s scary. We’ve gone through an attempt on the part of the president’s wife to nationalize 17% of the nation’s private economy. We’ve seen major Democratic campaign contributors sell and transfer vital American nuclear, missile and satellite technology to avowed enemies of freedom and of the United States. We’ve seen wholesale violations of basic campaign finance laws. We’ve seen the Lincoln bedroom in the White House turned into a high-priced five-star hotel where the basic rate is a huge campaign donation to the Democrats. We’ve seen seats on government overseas trade missions sold to the highest bidders --- sold for campaign donations. We’ve seen a president dropping his trousers in the Oval Office to receive oral sexual favors from an intern barely older than his daughter. We’ve seen the president grope and fondle a woman who came to him for help in securing a White House job --- wrapping up the sordid episode by taking her hand and forcing it into his crotch. We’ve seen a president lie under oath – several times. We’ve seen a president use the powers of his office to obstruct justice and to deny a private American citizen her constitutionally guaranteed right to a day in court.
We’ve seen American servicemen scattered to nearly 100 foreign nations to serve as glorified cops and cafeteria workers in various international "meals on wheels" schemes. We’ve seen aspirin factories in foreign countries bombed to divert attention from presidential scandals. We’ve seen the bodies of dead American servicemen dragged
through the streets of half-assed unconsequential foreign dog-patch nations by mobs of people who aren’t fit to utter
the "would you like french fries with that" anthem of the American high school graduate. We’ve seen a president agonize over what the definition of "is" is. We’ve seen a president refuse to personally respond to a very credible accusation of a violent rape. We’ve seen almost one thousand confidential FBI files of those not friendly to the
president’s political agenda gathered by former bar bouncers working in White House security positions --- with absolutely no consequences. We watched in 1996 as the Democrats rushed to naturalize tens of thousands of illegal aliens in time for them to vote Democratic in the election, and, in the process, including thousands of violent felons ... all for a few votes.
All of this ... and much, much more ... and the Democrats are telling us "you ain’t seen nothing yet?"
God help us.
