Del-ton

Anyone have any experience with Del-ton? I'm looking at building a clone of my old M16A4 and I was scrolling through a SGN and saw Del-ton has some good deals on 'Pre-assembled, headspaced, and test fired' A3 uppers with the 20'' barrels. Any good, keep looking, suggestions?

My experience with Del-Ton goes only as far as having their stripped lower receivers stocked. They are actually "nicer" in terms of overall finish than the LMT and RRA lowers which is surprising considering the price. And they're all forged aluminum so they'll stand the tests.

I've ordered 2 delton uppers, both were perfect. I take any statement like this:
Del-ton has a shoddy track record...if it were my money, I'd spend it elsewhere.
with a grain of salt without a little more information.

I have a A2 upper on a bushmaster lower and a mid-length M4 style upper on a RRA lower. I ordered them with chrome line 1:9 barrels and they were complete with bolt, carrier, & CH. It was properly staked and coated with a phosphate finish.

I've only put about 500 rds through the A2 but have put a couple thousand through the M4 including blanks I fired as OPFOR.

I haven't had any malfunctions or complaints except that I had to wait a few months for the A2 since I insisted on a chrome bore.

I loved being able to order it with whichever features I wanted. I ended up with a custom built upper delivered to my door with no taxes.

The I got one of the lowers from a gunshop (RRA-$260) and the Bushmaster came on a post ban configuration rifle I got on a gunboard for $600. I sold the postban bushmaster upper on gunbroker.

I purchased one of their mid-length kits with a chrome lined barrel a while back and have been very happy with it so far. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them again.

A few years back I purchased a rifle kit from Del-Ton and put it on a Rock River lower and it worked flawlessly.
Earlier this year I bought another complete midlength upper and put it on a Del-Ton lower and it works flawlessly. I have had Rock River,DPMS,and a Colt Match Target, and the Del-Ton functioned as well as any of the others., with no problems.

I personally would buy anything that Del-Ton sells and their customer service is fantastic.

Plus they are right here in NC!

But I live in Wisconsin.... :(

So I guess the verdict is they are a reliable and trustworthy company? I was just worried because I saw the prices and thought it was way too good to be true.

Thanks guys.
