Defective Taurus Pistols

Attention Florida Owners of the Taurus Pistols Below!

Millennium series of Pistols (all), 24/7 series Pistols (all), 609TI Pro, 638 Pro Compact, PT 111, PT 140.

It has been discovered that the above pistols have one or both of the following safety defects.

1) No trigger safety which allows the weapon to fire accidently when dropped with a round in the chamber.

2) The safety lever on some pistols do not fully engage allowing the weapon to be fired with the safety in the on position.

A class action law suite has been filed in Florida against Taurus International. Owners/victims of the defective pistols may be eligible to join this class action lawsuit and may be due compensation. Please contact me if you would like more information or would like to join this class action.

A first time post claiming something that is questionable at least, and probably out and out false at most.
If there were even the slightest truth this make believe story Taurus would be announcing a recall. Which they are not.
If there were any truth to this malicious attack on Taurus there would be chatter all over the Taurus Forum. Which there isn't except for the same troll, by the same user name.
If someone wants to slam any gun maker because they don't like them, true facts, and substantiated experience shows a lot more class, and credibility than lies!
 
If I understand correctly, in order to file a tort suit, or even a suite, one has to have suffered some damage, for which compensation is being sought. Just a claim that a product is defective, even if true, would not be enough. I note that the name given is that of an individual, not that of a law firm. It sounds like someone discovered this "defect" and decided to cash in.

DITTO, DITTO! I did a quick Google search of "Taurus class action suit", and found numerous pages of links about Ford Motor Company But nothing about Taurus firearms.
Seems there would be something, somewhere about this. Even if it were our enemies in the news media who would love a story about "unsafe" guns.
 
It has been claimed that Taurus has also contributed extensively to global warming because of all the fuel used by the UPS trucks shipping their guns back and forth for repair service!
 
said it was a 1st generation millenium pro drop test crap? This is from a California lawsuit ( 2005 I think). It has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with the new G2. I've had 4 Taures-all ran great...and 1 was used.
 
Well, this has been amusing, but I really think that Loneranger is really Loneposter.

I suspect that his ONLY purpose in visiting any of these forums is to drum up support for his cause, and we'll never see him again.

I don't like it when people use TFL like that. I don't like it at all, so here's what I'm going to do.

1. I'm closing this thread.

IF, at some point in the future, this proves to be legitimate, the thread can be reopened.
