Decisions, decisions

Not to start a shooting war or anything, but I need some opinions. I'm trying to decide between a Glock 19, and a Sig P220 or P228. All three are used and around the same price range. In all honesty, I'm leaning toward the 228, since I want something smaller to carry than the USP9 I have now, (an awesome weapon in it's own right). The 19 & 228 are 9mm, the 220 is in 45. I like the 9mm, since the ammo is cheap, and it shoots as well as I need it to.

So, any opinions??

Well any other day of the week, I'd say P220 bar none. But since you want something a little more concealable and seem to be leaning toward the 9mm, I'd suggest you go with the Glock 19. The finish will hold up better to the abuse of daily carry, and it's as reliable and durable as any. It'll also be the lightest of your choices. However, you already have a "plastic 9", so the P228 would be a fine choice too if you just want some variety. HTH

You might want to grab the 228. I could be wrong, but I think the 228 is now sold to law infrocement only, cause it takes high caps. I had one, sold it, then kicked myself. Good luck

I had a Sig P229 in .40 for a time, and I think the Glock 19 is easier to carry concealed.

I think it's also more comfortable due to lighter weight and fewer protrusions to irrritate you.

Make mine lean, mean, and 9x19!

What am I missing? Is size a real issue? The 220 is larger than what you are carrying now. There is not, in my opinion, sufficient size difference among the pistols you have mentioned to warrant a switch. I presume you have a full-size USP. How about the USP Compact? For a small 9, try the Kahr P9.
