Decision from 11th Circuit Court of Appeals - Hand recounting of ballots

It figures. Let's drag this thing out as long as we possibly can to try and cast doubt on whether Bush actually won. And maybe if we're real lucky we can somehow "find" enough votes to put our guy in office.

Liberals give me an upset stomach.

The 11th CCOA is made up of 7 Republican judges and 5 Democrats... This doesn't seem to be political.

This could give the FLA SC the impetus they need to overturn Judge Sauls' ruling yesterday to disallow hand recounting of ballots for Gore's contest of the election.

We shall see...

Seems like a reasonable decision. The hand counting has already stopped, and Bush still won after the count. Since there's no significant apparent difference between counting and not counting, there's no need to force a stop to the count (which has already stopped) before the final verdict.

It may in fact be a non-issue and the court does not want to expend its credibility entertaining a stupid question... we'll see...

no harm

Because Bush received no harm (he was certified the winner) it would be foolish for them to rule in his favor. What they did do is sort of put it on hold pending final outcome.

Remember...

The legislature has voted to convene tomorrow and certify the repub electors. The legislature trumps the court, which is its servant. :)

Now, if the JBTs don't show up at the state house... :o
