Dear Gun Rights Supporter,

Arizona Senator John McCain -- who masquerades as a conservative
patriot, but is really an agent for radical Big Government control
-- has teamed up with an internet billionaire on behalf of the
anti-gun ballot initiatives in Oregon and Colorado.

Your immediate help is needed for our friends at:

Oregon Firearms Federation (OFF) -- http://www.oregonfirearms.org/store/join_off.html

Rocky Mountain Gun Owners (RMGO) -- http://www.rmgo.org/donate.html

THEIR FIGHT IS YOUR FIGHT!

Several weeks ago, I wrote you to urge your action against gun
control initiatives in Colorado and Oregon, and many of you have
responded. For that, you have my thanks.

But the situation in both states just got worse: News agencies
report that an internet billionaire has donated $12 million to a new
anti-gun organization and spending it in Colorado and Oregon to pass
the anti-freedom ballot initiatives. Initial reports said that a
"prominent Republican" would be featured in television ads, urging
the passage of each state's gun control initiatives.

According to GOA members, the advertisement is swamping the airwaves
in both states, featuring U.S. Senator John McCain (R-Arizona)
urging voters to shut down gun shows unless all sales are forced to
undergo a Brady Registration check.

Of course, private sales at gun shows are just the next step in the
banning of ALL PRIVATE SALES AND REGISTRATION OF EVERY GUN OWNER IN
AMERICA. We'll have to deal with Senator McCain later -- what I
need you to do today is to up the ante in Colorado and Oregon.

We must do everything we can to oppose these anti-freedom
initiatives (even if we cannot defeat them, we must prove gun owners
will put up a vicious fight for our rights EVERY TIME), and the
organizations in those states that are putting up a valiant defense
of your rights once again need your help.

If you were unable to donate when we first brought the battles to
your attention, I urge you to donate to Rocky Mountain Gun Owners
and Oregon Firearms Federation as soon as possible. Even if you can
only donate $25 to each fight, it could mean the difference.

If you already donated to these worthy causes, I hope you will
consider again joining the fight.

You can donate to either organization online by going to:

Oregon -- http://www.oregonfirearms.org/store/join_off.html
Colorado -- http://www.rmgo.org/donate.html

Or if you wish to send a donation directly, you can mail them at the
following addresses:

Rocky Mountain Gun Owners
PO Box 3114
Denver CO 80201

Oregon Firearms Federation
PO Box 556
Canby OR 97013

Our opponents have escalated this war, and we have to respond.
Please, do all you can.

Sincerely,

Larry Pratt
Gun Owners of America

P.S. Anti-gun Senator John McCain has now made Oregon and Colorado
the number one battleground for our gun rights, and we need help.
The gun-grabbers are raising money hand-over-fist from liberal
out-of-state organizations and now an internet billionaire. Our
friends at RMGO and OFF cannot compete without your assistance.

You can download a copy of the radio ads being used to challenge
McCain's gun control agenda. Go to:

Also, how about we each e-mail, write, telephone and/or telegram the Republican National Committee and G.W. Bush.

We could tell them that it has become clear that the Republicans are merely a division of the Democratic Party - one party is as bad as the other. Therefore, because of Senator McCain's anti-Rights stand, we have decided to vote for (insert a third party).

Vote for whomever you want, of course, but let's try to scare the RNC and Bush enough for them to take a cluebat to McCain!

Just e-mailed Bush and the RNC. Told them McCain's anti-rights efforts in Oregon and Colorado indicates the similarities between the two major parties are too great. My family (a block of six votes) will now vote for a third party.

nralife,
Relax. It ain't necessarily so! ;)

What was really scary though was watching Nader give his press conference the other night, he kept condemning Al Gore for being 'too Republican'

Isn't Ralphie Nader the author of "Unsafe at Any Speed!"?

If I remember correctly, they had a stunt driver go through a test course in a Mustang and again in a Corvair. The Corvair flipped - proving it was unsafe!!!

Later analysis of the film showed the stunt driver purposely causing the rollover.

Hmm. [sarcasm]Another candidate of integrity. [/sarcasm]

I have never like Nader.
But that does not prevent me from encouraging voters that cannot be convinced to vote Bush to vote for him instead of Al. ;)

I had a feeling during the primaries that McCain was a closet anti. If I recall, some of the TFL members from Arizona had given some warnings as well. But what can you expect from someone who is actively trying to gut the First Amendment?
