It wasn't just the Second Amendment with me. I'm a Democrat. But the Clinton-Gore administration has allowed the state and federal police to make more inroads into our privacy and freedom than anyone since the first Adams administration and the Alien and Sedition Acts. They want to monitor our emails, stop us at random in our cars, drive past our houses with thermal detectors. Too much. Maybe a Bush Administration will respect our Fourth Amendment rights a little too.
RHC - An astute observation. Maybe you would consider joining a party more in line with your ideological leanings regarding protection of rights and smaller government?
Consider the Republicans if you want a moderate approach to reform that has a chance at being enacted, or Libertarian if you want major reform but don't mind the fact that it will never happen. Either choice would suit you betterr than your current selection, IMHO.
