Dealer prices for DSA FALs ?

My number has come up for my DSA FAL, and it's time to look for a local dealer to finish the transaction.

Does anyone know what the dealer prices are for the DSA FALs, or what percent MSRP markup is? (In particular, the Lightweight Carbine.)

Thanks

Are you ordering this directly from DSA, with the dealer simply doing the transfer, or are you going to order it through him?

Well, you don't pay DSA directly. The woman I spoke to on the phone described the process like this:

I "order" my FAL from DSA. When it's ready, I choose a local FFL to do the transfer, *who I pay for the gun*. So, I pay the dealer for the rifle, and the dealer buys the rifle from DSA "for me." Besides the FFL transfer fee, the dealer has the option of gouging me up to or beyond MSRP.

This is why I want get ballpark figures first.

thanks

If I was to order a firearm, from anywhere I would want to pay for it directly and only have a FFL do the transfer, it is ALOT cheaper that way. Most Dealers I know only charge $10 to do a transfer, including sending the FFL to the Wholesaler, ect. SO that way only fees are FFL Transfer ($10), shipping ($10 or so), and the cost of the firearm.

When I see the $10 dealer transfer fees cited, it makes we want to cry. Here in Santa Barbara CA all the dealers charge a minimum of 10%, $15 background check, and 7.75% tax. This is for a new or used firearm from a dealer or wholesaler. For private party transfers, the fee is usually $40 even.

Can't say for sure, but the price the dealer gave me for my DSArms SA58 Medium Contour Rifle was $1495.00. It's listed on the DSA website as being $1595.00. I have no idea how much the dealer paid, but my guess it wouldn't be less than ~$25.00? BTW ordered in June and picked up in July.
