Here I am cruising the boards with the TV on. Next thing I know, a show comes on with 2 gangbangers walking down the street. They bump into some guy in a suit, and start ruffing him up. All of a sudden, an off duty officer comes running across the street with gun drawn. The guy in the suit getting roughed up, draws his own gun and shoots the cop.

Can anyone guess where this one is going? How about Citizens with guns, end up killing well meaning off duty police officers, trying to come to Citizen's aid. How low are these creeps willing to go?

So, now to decide whether to waste an hour and see where this one goes, or write it off as anti propaganda.

Oh, now we just find out that the Citizen has a Florida CCW, even though he has shot and killed a unarmed black man a couple years ago, and of course he's carrying illegal in NYC. Looks like this one's heading just where I thought, an attack on CCW. Did I mention that the Cop is black and the Citizen is white? Of course, how could they leave the "racist gun owner" tag out of this one.

Yeah, but it actually was interesting. Good twist at the end. For those of you who didn't see it, the reason the white CCW guy didn't get charged with anything beyond possession of the weapon was that the department knew that the black cop had a history of beating Puerto Ricans in the neighborhood. One of the gangbanger kids (who, of course, were really good kids with hearts of gold) was bloody because this cop had earlier beaten him into the sidewalk. So the black cop was the real racist in the whole mess.

Except that THEN we find out that his daughter was raped four years ago (she was 12) by a Puerto Rican gangster named Miguel Velazquez--whose unsolved murder is the reason Fenton had suspected something more about the cop. In the end, Fenton has to decide whether to run the story about the cop even though he's dead and he had some reasons to kill Velazquez. He ran the story, I think.

So Don,
In the end, the Cop was a racist, that got away with Vigilante Murder, and the CCW holder was a racist, that twice got away with murder. Of course the Gangbangers where innocent, unarmed victims of the Vigilante Cop. So here's the final line - CCW holder w/gun = bad guy, Cop w/gun = bad guy, Gangbangers w/o guns = innocent victims. The brain washing continues.

Well.....yeah. The gangster kid who lived was "not a bad kid--he's all pose." Never mind that he did attack the CCW holder in the beginning, what counted was that on the inside he was a good kid even though he enjoyed mugging people.

The other kid, of course, was a total angel. He was about to enter Cornell to study hotel management. Great kid, everybody loved him, why did god take him away.

The cop didn't exactly get away with it--he got shot and died in great pain.
