Take that piston rifles lol /JK

But the gun holds up and surprisingly the aimpoint retains zero all the way until they drop it from the chopper, which makes me feel pretty good about getting a Micro T-1

Now THAT is a torture test! I expected it to fail in every test. Especially with the nose dive into the drink. DD is a quality firearm.

Yeah i would like to see other brands put through it also. The first couple were pretty standard, but shooting it with bird shot, gravel run over, and dropping it out of a heli and the tower.. was impressive. Even the aimpoint with the back lens broken held up till the chopper test which is incredible. Although even if the dot had shut off it looked like he was running full co-witness so he coulda used irons regardless.

I LIKE IT:cool:, the real-world relevance of the tests and the fact that it was actually prepped for the rigors, things like BEING lubed and the muzzle being taped are things a smart guy actually does!:D

I like the test but it really does not prove anything unless it's tested along side other rifles. They should have included other brands of ARs as well as other action types and continued to abuse them until only one was left. That would prove what was actually superior. As it stands, a sample size of exactly one is hardly scientific or convincing. I'm pretty sure an 80 year old, $80 Mosin Nagant would pass the same test with flying colors.

That being said, I love my Daniel Defense M4!

That's pretty sweet stuff. I too am more impressed with the Aimpoint more :) I've always liked Daniel Defense, but this is all the more reason to go with them.

i have a dd upper on my ar.

i saw a colt m4 and aimpoint m68 run over on a paved road by a hmmwv.

it crushed the shell on the aimpoint, smashed the handgaurds/rails, and broke the front pin hole on the left side of the lower.

I think I am more impressed with the aimpoint than the rifle. I wonder if my EOTech could withstand all the same stuff that that aimpoint just did. I will have to look at them when it comes time to buy another optic.
