Davis 32 ACP Derringer Reviews?

I just bought this at a gun show here in OKC for $90 this weekend and I already found it cheaper. So I figure I'll take the hit for not doing my homework before a purchase, but I liked it and my cousin had just bought the 38 version at another booth for $30 more so I figured it was a pretty good deal. Anyway, I have been unsuccessful in finding any reviews on the gun. Has anybody else got some insight on this weapon and maybe some useful shooting tips. I haven't taken it to the range yet and I would like to know what to look for when I pull the trigger.

I've got one that I bought for about $50 at Outdoor America back in 1994. I've shot about 70-80 rounds through it. The first (top) barrel I have no trouble hitting beer can size targets at 5 yds. or so. The bottom barrel is a different story though. I rarely was ever able to discover just where rounds fired from it went. Couldn't hit a damn thing!

The little gun is okay for the price, I guess. The crossbolt safty is a must, even though it is so s-l-o-w to disengage. Fail to use it at your peril though. Without it, it would be too easy to wind up with a 71 gr. FMJ .32 cal. projectile in your leg.

Its better than nothing--okay for some deep cover, last ditch weapon. Too slow for anything else.

Last Ditch type of gun for sure. I have four Davis Derringers, one of which is in 32 ACP. However, I use mine primarily for Cowboy Action shooting, rather than defense. All four of mine are reliable, some were like that from the factory , while two of them required a trip to the factory. Davis service was prompt and they fixed the problem.
Expect an ungodly hard trigger.
