Dangerous Call?

The other day I purchased a chukar call. Today I noticed that on the call itself it says Magnum Chukar Call. Do you think this might bring in those extra large chukar? Will this call put my dog at risk? Do I need to carry around some 3 inch shells loaded with #2 shot? Should I have a .357 magnum six shooter on my hip? Who knows, maybe I'll see ostrich size chukar!:D

I thought it would call in 3-1/2" chukars that can knock you over backwards.;)

Or maybe it means chukar that come in a large bottle?

Magnum size chukars definitely post a grave danger. Don't consider callling them in without a back-up behind you with at least a 375 H&H.

Magnum chukars really deserve some serious attention to detail. Aim for detail to avoid defeat and debill. I suggest a backup with Brenneke slugs. CB.

Now thats scary, regular chuckars are dangerous enough, sprinting up 89 degree angles in the most dangerous footing there is. The only safe chuckar call is one where you blow it and it says "GO BACK HOME!" :D

Roy, you have too much time on your hands.

So must I for even responding. Thanks for calling that to my attention. Think I'll load up my Evil Roy Portable Steel Target and go do a little shootin on this smokey (all those California fires) Sunday eve near Reno.

This could be on that show about african wild game...you know where they talk about alligtors. The man says
"HE HAS TO ONLY SHOOT THE BRAIN! iTS THE SIXE OF A GOLF BALL, MISS HIS BRAIN, AND THE ALLIGATOR WILL COME CHARGING! Meanwhile on the show, the man with his 8,000 rifle and fancy clothes in a third world country picks his crocodile from the comfort of land at least 50 yards away. Mind you he picks this one out of 10 crocks or so...Grave dangah! T.V. these days....psht.
Anyways. That stuffs all a joke. Magnum chucks are where all the dangers at. They could eat your food ration of sunflower seeds while you camp. Leaving you stranded in the middle of nowhere snackless!
You have been warned

If you can get a chukar to come in to any call, you're a better caller than me. I can only get them to call back, but they always hang up on me :D

Ah Jeez,

Ifishsum, I hate to break it to ya, but the purpose of the call is to locate the birds by getting them to expose their position.

See, the way it works is: You locate the birds and beeline it over there and sit and be quiet. Then you start your call up again. Of course, the birds will be just as far off now as they were the first time. That's why I threw mine away.

And as you sit there with the chukar laughter echoing in the canyon, you think of home, cold beer, and a recliner.

THAT DOES IT!! They stole the name for my new call... I know.... I'll call mine the "Chukar Tactical" and capture a different segment of market share! I'll paint them flat black and sell rings so you can mount it on your AR or tactical bolt gun! The whole mess will come in an aluminum attache case! I'll be rich AND famous! Maybe I can mount a LED torch on it for night calling...

We dont have chukars in Norway and didnt know what a chukar was before i read it on Wikipwdia:o. Must be exiting hunting. What do you use? 20mm?

PS. Dont you just love the TFL humor?

Inspector; don't forget the Picatinny rail and Laser Grip sights. Holo sights will make the already enlarged chukar seem the size of a pachyderm. Tacticool chukar sight, eh?

No fair!!!! Jibjab played the "puppy porn" card!! Now I want another bird dog! Heck, I always want another bird dog.
