Ok Dan Wesson pointmen have been approved by the Mass Ag for sale here. I am looking for a 1911 and the only other new one that will soon be approved is the S&W 945. That said I was gonna look at a Para p14-45, but it is the very basic gun and would probably cost me more than I can afford to customize it some. My local dealetr has a Colt, I believe it was a series 80, already has alot oif after market including a red dot scope. It is used ansd around 600.00 Do you guys know anything about the point man??? I saw the specs on thier web page and the come with some after markets as standard for an msrp of about 799.00 Any opinions, wait for the point man, or buy the used colt, or para.

I read a review a while back in one of the gun mags. The gun had a hand fitted jarvis barrel if I remember correctly and was quite accurate and reliable. Looked like a very nice gun. Had alot of the bells and whisles.

I like these comander-sized models. They look great and they're priced right there with Kimbers. I still think they're asking a bit much for both though.

Not bad looking...but that front sight sure looks snaggy. Maybe it's meant as a last-ditch weapon. If you run out of ammo, you can disembowel your attacker with it.
