Anyone have one of the new ones and if so what do you think of it?
When will extra barrels be available?
Please tell me it doesn't have a lock.

Handled one at a LGS on Friday, Jan. 2.

Excellent, better than excellent, DA; made me wonder if it had enough oomph to detonate tough primers.

Seemed much more front heavy than the 6-incher GP 100, 586 or Python, but that was just my impression and might not be actually true.

Beautiful finish in SS. Flawless. (Probably first scratch will make a mean, unemotional man cry.)

Cylinder release, which of course is front frame located, seemed less smooth than my experiences with the Ruger, Smith or Colt models.

Was told that its cylinder is a bit smaller than the other three revolvers and actually takes a K-frame sized speedloader. Don't know if it is true or not.

And no, doesn't have a key lock hammer safety ala Smith, which it owns all by its little lonesome.

It's Twue, Its Twue!:D

HKS 10 or 10-A or equivalent will fit as its what I use for my 15-2.

No lock & the oddball front release is much faster than the "normal" once you get used to it.

A friend has one of the "blem" preproduction guns that came out a while back, and it's very nice. Kind of a mystery as to what is the "blem" part of it, as we used my near mint 30+ year old 715 as a comparison and saw little difference, except my gun seems to have a smoother "brushed" finish that I think is not the "blem" it's just a slighty different finish. It shoots great, and has zero issues.

No, but I have an original one! :)

Wow Rut that's a beauty is it part of a pistol pack? I would place an order today but I'm waiting for the extra barrels to become available. I really want the 8". Wonder what they will charge for the extra barrels & shroud. Also it would be nice if you could choose between the full underlug or an abbreviated one like yours, which seems more practical if your going to haul it around the woods all day.

No, it is not part of a Pistol Pak. However, I do have the matching 6" barrel for it as well.

If you don't mind the "heavy Barrel" with the full underlug there is a company making barrels & shrouds right now.
It a small outfit but they're work is first class. check out "EWK arms" website. They even have a barrel shroud where the vent rib is cut for direct attachment of Weaver scope rings.
