i have a dan wesson 44 mag special collector's production run, number two.
it is 1 of only 250 made it has a special dove grey finish , a rosewood grip with pewter medallion. the serial numbers started at 000251 and ended at 000500 .mine is #000459. does anybody know what kind of value this pistol has.

Value/selling price of special edition and commemorative Dan Wessons have always been difficult to nail down. I have seen asking prices range from $800 to over $2000, however I have never tracked what they actually sell for. A lot of the commemorative models were not done by Dan Wesson, but by a 3rd party.

If you have everything that came with the gun, box, papers, tools, etc. the value will be a little higher.

That was a very unique company in the early days .The 44 mag prototype was to be shot and shot until it fell apart !! You could go to a metallic silhouette match and look at , handle and even fire the gun ! And of course talk to Dan Wesson !

the certificate reads, this special collector's production run , number two , is issued to introduce the dan wesson 44 magnum revolver . it is a production run limited to250 revolvers . also i do have the wooden display box it came with and the certificate showing the serial #. any information would be greatly appreciated. the the certificate is not dated. what year was they introduced anyone know ?
