Need a little input. I have opportunity to pick up a 80's model Dan Wesson 44 Mag 8" barrel IHMSA serial numbered (made specifically for IHMSA with their initials before serial numbers) NIB (never shot w/original grease on it). This was an estate sale purchase. This gun is pristine. Comes with original packing container, and all hardware that came with it. Can anyone give me an idea of what the market value would be worth on this?

I recently picked one up as a shooter. The extra factory grips and a Pachmayr were included for $317.00. Dan Wessons are definitely a niche revolver. I like mine.

Sir William is correct,

DW's though great guns, and I love my accumulation dearly, just are not collectors items. Shooter's yes, collectibles no.
I would estimate the value of you Model 44 at $400 to $450 given its condition. Used Model 44's in 95+ condition bring $375 +/- $25 in the shops around here.
Take Care
