Dad's Model 11

Can anybody tell me the age of my dad's model 11?

It has military marks with serial # 450174. Checkering on the stock, plain forehand. Imp Cyl. wildlife scenes on the receiver, but no other military marks visible.

I shot this from the time I was 7 years old and just realized 50 years later that it was a military issue shotgun.
