any comments on the cz97?
do they offer a ambi.safety?
all comments welcome.
thanks in advanced!

The 97 is basically the 75/85 series on steroids...LOL. By people who own them and own 1911's, they claim the 97 is as accurate out of the box as a Custom high end 1911. They have standard controls on the left side and have some of the best work CZ has into a gun, put into them. They are a BIG gun. Check them out on czforum.com....you will see pics, reviews...singing and dancing.....:D Shoot well

And this is not a flame against 1911's of anykind...I like the guns.

They sure are pretty. Don't know much except what's been on this board. Seem like overall positve reviews.

I like mine.It came with a 50M target with a 5-shot group just under 3".Not bad,but I haven't been able to reproduce that-of course I don't have a Ransom rest either.The gun is very sturdily built(full-length frame,for example),and well made overall.It'll digest anything I feed it.No FTFs so far,a bit less than 1K rounds.

Certainly worth 500 bucks.

Talk about timing.

I rented a CZ97 during lunch today in my quest to justify buying a Kimber... er, I meant research...;)

Found it to be a bit too brutal, but maybe because I could not find a good grip no matter what I tried. Big & heavy (not necessarily a bad thing).

Fun, but one more gun that I get to take off my "want to own" list.

Just one newbie's opinion though.

I have big hands and found the pistol pretty comfortable, but didnt get to shoot it....damn! Anyway..for people even with medium sized hands...my advice for a great grip is duct tape! :D
Shoot well
