Can anybody tell me some info about this pistol. Is it reliable, accurate, durable. Good as well as bad comments would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

I have the older CZ-75 which I like & the CZ-85 is the ambidextreous model of it. My likes includes: great feeling grip, good trigger pull in either DA/SA (though the newer guns aren't as good as my old one), slim, reliable, sturdy, simple sights. My dislikes of the newer CZ-85 includes finger rest trigger guard (that European curse haunts us today), caliber (give me a .40 S&W instead), near impossible to obtain high cap magazines.

I like the CZ and variants, but must warn you that the ambi model might not be a good thing. I own a Springfield Armory P9 in .40cal. It DID have an ambi saftey until one side fell off. Springfield made good sort of. They said the ambi was unreliable and should have never shipped, so they installed a right handed saftey. Just a word of warning.

Preban standard capacity mags for a CZ75 aren't hard to find nor are they expensive. You can either get mags for a clone and modify them slightly from CDNN or you can order direct from CZUSA. Factory preban mags were going for $45 plus shipping from CZUSA.

So many pistols, so little money.

I have an CZ75B in 40 cal.I'm right handed and don't need the extra controls.I have a couple of pistols with decockers already and now prefer the cocked and locked version better.I removed the mag brake but the factory mags do not drop free, but Promags work excellent and drop free just fine. The trigger seems fine to me but the CZ85 has an adjustable trigger and a smoother pull, but you can put a SA trigger on the 75.Either one is good.BTW the CZ85 does not have the mag brake but uses the same mag as the CZ75,and it isn't drop free either. You can get Promags from AJAX Shooter Supply for $13.95 a peice. They work and look a better than the factory mags at less than a 1/3 the cost.Hope this helps.
