Cz75b Sa?

Anybody have/shoot one of these? I looked at one at a recent gun show. It was priced the same as the other 75's, but boy the trigger is really smooth. I found an article that I had about this gun because I wasn't sure what the difference between the DA/SA and SA was. I gathered it is the position of the trigger is further back and it only serves to release the firing pin rather than needing range of motion to "cock" the hammer. Of course with a SA, you loose the ability pull the trigger for a double strike if needed, but can't you just cock the hammer manually?

I might pick one up. 9mm is cheap and easy to shoot.

The look real sweet, and I hear the Trigger is similar to the CZ Champion. I posted a pic/post here on about 3 weeks ago. Looks like a nice pistol.

I will let you know how accurate it is when I get mine to the range. As to the trigger, it is great, but not as light as my Champions. That will change when I replace the ejector assembly, sear, and hammer for the Champion parts available from CZ. I also have some Nill grips to replace the factory plastic.

Mine is in .40 caliber. CZ lists it as being only available in polymer finish. RSR Sports, a big distributor, has an exclusive on the SAs with blued finish and that is what I bought.

Can the 75B DA/SA be turned into SA only via putting in the 75B SA trigger parts ? I had the chance to look at a 75B SA the other day and it's sweeeet!

pinetree, I encourage you to buy one. I have had mine for 400 rounds now, and love it. 15 round mags are $45 each from CZ--gotta be glad for any pistol with still inexpensive mags.

There's nothing I could say about CZ's that hasn't already been posted on TFL (or GlockTalk for that matter). The SA is simply another flavor of a very well regarded and popular pistol.

Best to you.

Buy it!

I have one and love it. It's very accurate (more so than my Glock 23 and Springfield 1911). The trigger on mine is pretty good. It could stand to be a bit more crisp and it's slightly gritty. It is smoothing out the more I shoot it. I probably have about 500 rounds through mine with no problems. Well-made gun.

I have a couple of shooting buddies that could not believe I paid under $400 for mine. They both are considering one. For the money, you won't find a better-made gun.

A word of warning: CZ mis-represents one feature. They say the trigger is adjustable for take-up and over-travel. Only the latter is true. You cannot adjust the take up on this pistol.

Good luck with your purchase.

All right, I'm not too experienced with CZ guns, so here is my question: What is the 'difference' of a CZ75 when compared to a CZ 85???

But, the CZ75B SA also has ambi safeties and fixed sights like the base model 85. The slide styling is different between the two. Of course the 85 is da/sa. The 85 combat has adjustable sights.

75/85

Taking the Combat as an example, it has an adjustable trigger, extended mag release button, flat spring cover so mags fall out, ambidextrous safety and slide stop, and adjustable sights. Not sure about the ambi slide stop, but you can buy all the other parts and retrofit them as you wish - check the accessories at www.cz-usa.com

I have a CZ75B and a CZ75B SA. The SA has an upswept beavertail that makes the grip more comfortable, and a thinner, lighter hammer. I would not try to rework a standard CZ to SA only, I would apply the money to a new SA and keep both. I think the trigger pull is lighter on the SA because CZ uses a lighter hammer spring.
