Poll: Do you carry your CZ75 cocked and locked?

I've just picked up a CZ75B in .40 and would like to carry it cocked and locked. Is this method of carry safe with this pistol?

I normally carry a 1911 cocked and locked and have no problem with it.

I don't carry mine. But if I did, it would be cocked and locked.

I can't see why it would be any different than carrying a 1911 condition one.

CZ allows the option and is safe. When I do start to carry mine after I confirm it's as reliable as it seems right now, (I want to put another 500 rounds down range in it) it will be carried cocked and locked just like the 1911 I carry presently.

You can, but I don't. I'm quite comfortable with the LONG trigger pull..so..

I generally carry mine at "half cock" (the DC versions decock to half cock, just like Sigs, anyway) but I have carried it cocked and locked with no worries. Both are safe, the 75B has a firing pin safety to prevent ADs. If you take notice in the manual it recomends cocked and locked first and then cautions about ADs when decocking for DA carry. I always planned to carry mine C&L but I discovered I shoot it just as well DA without having to remember the safety which none of my other carry guns have. Marcus

Need to add a caveat to my earlier post. If you can easily reach and work the safety it's better to carry cocked and locked IMO. Some people have a hard time reaching the safety on CZ's and therefore are best served shooting the first shot DA. Nice thing about CZ's is you have that option.

Put me solidly in the cocked and locked camp--it's why I bought the pistol in the first place. 'Course after I bought it, I fell in love with the accuracy...

It's one of the safest guns to carry cocked and locked, cause of the passive firing pin safety. The 75B is that is. If your carring a gun there must be a pretty good reason so why mess around with anything but cocked and locked. -ddt4free
