CZ75 Kadet conversion

I remember a few people posting here they've got the 22 conversion called the Kadet and was wondering what "minor fitting" they had to do?

I'm ordering one next week along with a spare mag and would like a heads up before it gets here..

Thanks in advance,

shiroikuma, Thanks for the link of the search function but I already did that and didn't find any comments on what "minor fitting" they had to do if any. I did seea post that said you have one and that you had to return yours to get the firing pin replaced to the newer design. Thanks for the tip.

The Kadet is oversized in the rail area where the slide rails join at the front of the frame. You will need to take a few strokes with a fine file to "fit" the parts in this area. Keep it very snug but not too tight. The directions that come with the kit explain how to do this. It only takes a few minutes. My Kadet shoots right up there with my Browning Buckmark and Ruger MKII pistols. Give it a couple hundred rounds to break in.

Plateshooter: I figured it might be that simple but was wondering if the slide stop pin would have to be fitted also. Thanks for the reply.

Rick,

Plateshooter described all the fitting that had to be done on my kit. The instructions mentioned checking the slide stop for proper functioning and also the possibility of minor fitting to the barrel lug (where the takedown pin goes through) but I didn't have to worry about any of that stuff.

Trust me, you'll like the Kadet kit. I sure do.

One of the comments I made about the conversion is to remind yourself that the .22's inner slide neads to be pulled back a short distance while the hammer is at 1/2 cock to reinsert the slide stop pin. I filed off a little too much because I couldn't get the pin back in and thought it was still too tight (duhh!) I had forgotten that the slide had to be pulled back to slip it in. Just a gentle reminder. :D

They are totally awsome!!!!
