Picked up a CZ70 today my FFL dealer had ordered for me from SOG.
Want to at least 'Field Strip' and clean it up tonight and hopefully shoot tomorrow.
Search Function at 'czforum' is 'Temporailly Disabled' :(
Can anyone help w/ a link to Disassembly Instructions???

How similar is my CZ70 to my CZ52? Got a good set of instructions on the CZ52 from Makorv.com -- But nothing there on the CZ70.

Any help much appreciated!!!

mbott = THANKS!!!

Just what I needed!!!
Had the grips off and soaking frame/slide assembly in my special 'gunk' solution.
Now I'll take it on down and clean.
Hope it shoots good - will know tomorrow.
I'll let you all know how it goes.

TNX again!!

I LIKE IT !!!!!

Let it soak overnight Friday.

Cleaned and reassembled last night.

Shot it today.

59 rds of Rem UMC 71gr fmj - No FTF/FTE.

Last 5rd group from 15yds. was all in the black on a NRA 25 yd Pistol Target. ie all w/in the 9 ring. Group was 3".

This pistol was $77.00 from Southern Ohio Gun + $10.00 S/H to my FFL + his $20.00 fee (down from $40.00 since I've been dealing through him for awhile now) + tax and NIC.

Out the door for under $120.00!!!

I don't NEED this pistol, I ordered it together w/ another Bulgie MAK, but I sure do LIKE this pistol.

Large frame for a mouse gun cal. but me thinks I'll keep it around for awhile.

After all it's the same cal. as my wife's new Tomcat.
:)

I had two Tomcats -- one of them replaced under warranty. I've also got a CZ-50 (same basic gun as the CZ-70).

I got rid of the Tomcat. While small, its very THICK, and pocket carry, while possible, is awkward. The CZ-50 is too big for pocket carry, but I've got a nice little slide holster for it, and its very concealable.

But, that said, I don't really consider either one of them BIG enough for self-defense... They're fun guns.

My little CZ-50 will generally outshoot the Walther PPs and PPKs (to which it is somewhat similar). It cost about 1/4 of what the Walters cost...

I think the Walthers, however, will be much more durable over the long term.

Aye (I feel like a sailor, aargh!)

I got one of those a couple of months ago. Fun little gun. DA trigger pull is absolutely atrocious, but single action is fairly good.

Accurate, even with the abysmal sights, and no failures of any kind so far in 100 rounds.

They say that having a vice makes getting the main spring retainer plate out and in a lot easier.

They're not kidding. :)
